The quantitative estimation of the voice acoustic characteristics of vocalists — enrollee
E.V Osipenko, I.A. Mihalevskaya
The researchers traditionally didn’t give much attention to the condition of the voice function of the applicants of musical institutes. The purpose of our research is to define the readiness of the voice device of the future singer for voice loading due to the definition of acoustic parameters of a voice.
We have examined 45 enrollee who have the healthy voice device, there were 10 men (22,2 %) among them, the average age was 19,1 years old and there were 35 female (77,8 %), the average age 17,7 years old.
Phonetography was carried out, the voice endurance with the help of 30-minute loading test, maximum phonation time (MPT), coefficient of the voice production estimation (CVPE) was investigated.
We determined: MPT was 22,43±4,07 sec., the tone range - 24,14±3,93semitones, the dynamic range was 41,08±9,19 dB, CVPE - 90,93±24,15 for the men. And 20,70±4,04 sec., 26,63±3,42semitones, 43,67±6,36 dB, 86,73±21,19 for the female pro tanto. After loading test all researched acoustic parameters became worse among 5 (50 %) men and 19 (54,3 %) female.
CONCLUSIONS:
1. Despite the presence of the age requirement in Russia (21 years for men and 18 years for female) for the entering the vocal faculty, on average the applicants were younger.
2. The received data testified about the lack of preparation of the voice device of the applicants for significant voice loading.
3. We consider to conduct obligatory research of the basic acoustic parameters of a voice by the objective tool methods among the future singer.
